Ingredients
Selection
of carrots, turnips, cerely root, beets, small
onions, garlic --cut into thick wedges
rosemary, thyme and sage
olive oil
salt and pepper
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
F.
Put all the vegetables and the
herb sprigs in a large baking dish. Season well
with salt and black pepper, drizzle with olive
oil and toss them well to coat evenly. Start
the saute on top and then put the baking dish
in the preheated oven and cook, stirring the
vegetables occasionally, until they are tender
and golden brown, about 35 minutes.
Note: for more flavor saute the
vegetables and mushrooms using pieces of slab
bacon
